Description
This beautiful gem is cut from a piece of Neon Yellow YAG (Yttrium Aluminum Garnet), a man made crystal that has the same crystal structure as natural garnet. YAG is used in all kinds of industries as components for lasers, PET scanners, and radiation detectors. It also makes for some beautiful and interesting gems. This particular design has 41 facets. The cut and polish are excellent.
This beautiful Neon Yellow color will light up brightly in direct sunlight and will be even brighter under UV light.

Mohs Hardness: 8.5
Clarity: Mostly Loupe Clean
Notes: Has a few tiny bubbles that are typical of ceramic YAG. There is a very small chip in the bottom of one corner that does not affect the appearance or performance of the gem in anyway.
